Impedance values in a North Indian population

1976
The value of Tympanometry in the diagnosis of various conditions of the middle and inner ear has been established, and the types of curves in ossicular chain disruption, scarred tympanic membrane, eustachian tube dysfunction, otosclerosis and exudative otitis media have been described. A study of a random sample of 200 apparently healthy subjects of all the ages and both the sexes was undertaken to evaluate the normal values in an Indian population. A thorough clinical examination of every case was conducted to exclude any ear pathology including eustachian tube dysfunction.
