Probiotics composition comprising lactic acid bacteria inhibiting methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus

2012
The present invention relates to Lactobacillus salivarius lactic acid bacteria having an inhibitory ability for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and a probiotics composition comprising the same. The Lactobacillus salivarius PG1230 lactic acid bacteria according to the present invention has an inhibitory effect of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, acid resistance, bile resistance, and intestine attachment ability, thereby being practically used as probiotics capable of replacing antibiotics. Also, bacteriocin, which is one of antibiotic materials produced by the lactic acid bacteria, is formed of protein or peptide materials, and is decomposed by protease in digestive organs of human body, thereby having no toxicity, and remaining properties.
