Magnetic susceptibility of nitrosyl hemoglobin

1992
The magnetic susceptibility of nitrosyl hemoglobin has been measured at 4.2K as a function of the concentration of NO, in order to observe a possible effect of conformational changes of the protein. A linear dependence of the susceptibility on the concentration of NO indicates that these effects are smaller than 2%, which agrees with the EPR results.
