Summary Histoplasmosis is an endemic fungal infection that causes no symptoms or minorself-limited illnesses in most cases. Severe forms are commonly reported in patients withimmunodeficiency disorders; histoplasmosis is considered to be an opportunistic infection in withAIDS. Wereport acaseofdisseminatedhistoplasmosis in patient withnoinducedactive suppression of the immune response. The infection was fulminant, and antifungaltreatment was delayed because of a misdiagnosis of tuberculosis.# 2012 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
