Impact of intervention of women of child-bearing age suffering from genital herpes on gestation and delivery.

Objective To investigate the impact of intervention of pregnant women suffering from genital herpes on gestation and delivery.Methods The pregnant women suffering from genital herpes were devided into group A(153 patients)and B(165 patients).Drug intervention was given to those in Group A,while no intervention was given to those in Group B for various causes.The results of observation were anlayzed.Results There 12 abnormal pregnancy occurred to Group A,including teras,growth retardation,stillbirth and miscarriage,etc.),while 23 abnormal pregnancy occurred to those in Group B,showing significant statisticl difference as compared to that of Group A(χ2 = 6.09,P0.05).Conclusion Pre-pregnancy health examination of genital herpes is indicated and drug intervention is effective for treatment of pregnant women with genital herpes.
