Improvement of processability of rubber and plastic

PURPOSE: To attain improvement in the releasability, processability, adhesion and tackiness of rubber and plastic without sacrificing their tensile strength, elongation, modulus, etc. CONSTITUTION: A lubricant, which is generally immiscible with rubber or plastic and hence causes serious defects, can be incorporated in rubber or plastic without causing any defects by previously blending the lubricant with a peptizing agent. In this embodiment, it is also possible to incorporate other components, such as compounds having alcoholic or glycolic hydroxyl groups, fatty acids and their esters and ethers, aliphatic amides, waxes, surfactants and inactive fillers in a rubber or plastic blend. A uniform mixture of the lubricant and the peptizing agent is added to the rubber or plastic. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
