Shifting pattern of agricultural space: evolution of contract farming in Punjab

A conscious policy shift relying heavily on private sector participation for a boost to agriculture through contract farming has failed to produce the desired results on the ground. There is now a move to reverse the trend and check the harm suffered by the farming sector in Punjab.
