The invention relates to vehicle-mounted equipment and an identification method for identifying a driver and belongs to the field of vehicle-mounted intelligent equipment. According to the technical scheme, the vehicle-mounted equipment comprises a vehicle bus datum monitoring and reading unit, an MCU calculating unit, a local-storage unit, a network communication unit and a datum characteristic storage and analysis cloud platform; one end of the vehicle bus datum monitoring and reading unit is connected with a vehicle, and the other end of the vehicle bus datum monitoring and reading unit is connected with the MCU calculating unit which is connected with the local-storage unit and the network communication unit correspondingly; and the network communication unit is connected with the datum characteristic storage and analysis cloud platform. The vehicle-mounted equipment and the identification method for identifying the driver have the beneficial effects that datum analysis is conducted after a bus is switched on through the vehicle-mounted equipment, and after being obtained through a certain calculation method, the driving characteristics are transmitted to the cloud platform and additionally combined with big data stored by the cloud platform to continuously conduct self-learning updating and matching optimization to achieve the purposes of accurately distinguishing different drivers, so that the vehicle and the driver are managed more intelligently and more efficiently.
