Scleroderma is a chronic disease of unknown aetiology, consisting of two distinct clinical entities: systemic sclerosis (SSc) and localised scleroderma (LSc or morphea) [1]. SSc affects the skin and various internal organs, whereas LSc exclusively involves the skin and its underlying tissues.
