IR up-conversion shadow method for plasma diagnostics

Parametetric frequency up-conversion has made it possible to convert the probe IR beams through the plasma into the visible regions without sacrificing information about the plasma. This method has been used for diagnostics of diode plasma in Mirazh relativistic electrons beam source. (AIP)
