Improvement of accuracy of coordinate determination in lead-glass detector containing active converter

1987
The effect of an active converter on the accuracy of determination of the coordinates of positrons with an energy of 5 GeV in a hodoscopic shower detector is studied. It is shown that the space resolution is improved when the energy release in the active counter, in addition to the ratio of the signal amplitudes of adjacent cells, is taken into account in coordinate calculation.
