Alternativa de mobilidade urbana em Palmas-TO

The objective of this paper was to investigate a perception of the individual regarding the use of the bicycle as a means of transportation in the municipality of Palmas, capital of the state of Tocantins. The study uses an attitude survey with some factors related to the choice of bicycle as a means of transportation. The survey was conducted between September 29 and 31, 2017 in three distinct points of the city: Plano Diretor, Taquaralto and Aurenys, 400 questionnaires were applied. The main results pointed out that people use the bicycle as a means of transportation; that its use is good for health and that it is a cheap transport. The male sex is more acceptably. The interviewees complain about the lack of infrastructure and safety for the use of the bicycle.
