Effect of the total pressure on catalytic cracking reactions

1991
Abstract The study of total pressure effect on thermal and catalytic cracking of industrial feedstocks gives information on the kinetic expressions and justifies the use of a “refractoriness” factor. The total pressure increases particularly coke yield; its effect in industrial plants is discussed. Secondary effects on gasoline and gas selectivities can be explained by the coke effects previously described.
