LENS FOR AN ANTENNA SYSTEM

The invention relates to a lens (101) for an antenna system (100), the lens being intended to be illuminated by an electromagnetic source (102) according to a predefined first electromagnetic field at the input of said lens, the lens being adapted to obtain a second predefined electromagnetic field expected at the output of said lens. The lens comprises a first portion sectorised according to a first sector-shaped gap, each sector of said first portion having a thickness and a dielectric constant defined to perform an in-phase adjustment on said sector from the first electromagnetic field. The lens comprises a second portion of electrically conductive material(s) arranged on said first portion, the second portion being sectorised according to a second sector-shaped gap, each sector of said second portion having a defined thickness, based on the conductivity and permeability of the material forming said sector, to provide an amplitude adjustment on the sector from the first electromagnetic field.
