Síndrome de pelo en anágeno. ¿Una entidad infrecuente o subdiagnosticada? Serie de casos de la Clínica de Dermatología Pediátrica del Centro
2015
The loose anagen hair syndrome is a structural anomaly of the hair shaft that is infradiagnosed and reported unusually. It is characterized by thin, short and fragile hair that is easily and painless plucked. Diagnosis is suspected clinically and confirmed by light microscopy. The entity is inherited autosomal dominant and also sporadic forms have been described. The condition is usually isolated; however, several physical abnormalities can be associated. There is no definitive treatment; most patients get better at puberty, so the prognosis is favorable. We report five clinical cases from the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic at Centro Der matologico Pascua, describing the main features and confirmation by light microscopy and scanning electron microscope.
