Account of Preventing Lightning Harm of Tiauzhufeng of Wudang Mountain

Tianzhufeng of Wudang Mountain,1 612 meters tall above sea level,which is the place of the lightning discharging to earth.Lightning rod is installed from lightning harm in 1962 on gilt bronze hall on Mt.Wudang.The hall suffered lightning harm in 1976,1978 and 1979.According to the geological survey in the field,personnel of Bureau of Culture in Hubei found superimpose area between rocks of different resistivity and buildings obstruct the path of natural discharge,pointed out the cause of serious lightning harm in October,1979.Gilt bronze hall can't be smashed,while it prevents passive damage by grounded transmitting wire.Since re-design and installation of lightning network in 1980,gilt bronze hall on Mt.Wudang and auxiliary buildings,suffered thunderstorms,have been essentially intact.
