Using SFCW GPR to Search for Buried Objects

2020
This paper presents the results of ground radar sensing performed using the experimental SFCW GPR. The purpose of radar sensing was to detect and determine the location of metal and dielectric objects previously buried in the soil. Radar sensing was performed in laboratory and field conditions. It is shown that the use of SFCW GPR allows determining the location of objects buried in the soil. Presenting the results of radar sensing by visualizing the phase spectrum of reflected signals allows us to make assumptions about the electrical properties of buried objects.
