Closed Reduction and Pinning of Two Part Proximal Humerus Fracture

2013
The patient was identified in the presurgical area and the surgical site was marked. He/she was brought into the operating room and placed in a supine position. General endotracheal anesthesia was performed by the anesthesia team. IV antibiotics (name and dose) were administered. The patient was positioned in the beach chair position, and all pressure points were padded. The C-arm unit is positioned parallel to the patient from the head of the bed so that it does not interfere with movement of the arm. Closed reduction was performed under fluoroscopic guidance.
