Multiband radical-recombination luminescence of boron nitride

1971
The spectral and kinetic properties of the radical-recombination luminescence of boron nitride were studied. This type of luminescence is shown to differ from the photoluminescence of boron nitride in that it is due to surface excitation. The properties of radical-recombination luminescence of this compound depend on the sample-synthesis procedure, the preliminary conditioning, and the surface impurities of “biographical” or adsorptive origin.
