Cloud-model-based Effectiveness Evaluation for Deicing Robots of Overhead Power Lines

2021
Intelligent live-line deicing is of great significance to ensure the safe and stable operation for overhead power lines during the cryogenic freezing rain and snow weather. To select intelligent maintenance devices for overhead power lines scientifically, we proposed a cloud-model-based effectiveness evaluation method for live-line deicing robots of overhead power lines. Firstly, taking three dimensions of security, flexibility, autonomy, six aspects of protection, adaptation, movement, deicing, cognition, control, and 19 factors, the effectiveness evaluation index system with its hierarchical membership value is determined. Then the cloud model of each evaluation index is calculated, which weights are assigned by the CRITIC (Criteria Importance Though Intercriteria Correlation) method so that their membership grade to the effectiveness can be solved hierarchically. Finally, the effectiveness of prototypes and the general performance of live-line deicing robots are analyzed. Results show that our method realizes quantitative evaluation for robotic live-line deicing, providing a new way to select and optimize intelligent deicing devices.
