Détermination d'une codification alphanumérique des outils de coupe

Classification of tools into homogeneous classes provides the advantages of reducing stocks, reducing costs, improving management of cutting tools and unambiguous identification of tools by the different services of an enterprise. Optimisation of the coding of cutting tools results in minimising the number of quantitative variables while increasing information used to identify a given tool, and especially in our particular case, allows to propose an alphanumeric code which can be memorised by users. The search for the most significant variables is largely made easier by the main component analysis technique which extends the calculus of reduced centred variables used in data analysis. The objective of this work is to propose an alphanumeric code for cutting tools which helps users of the code with a better memorisation and a efficient use of the code by all actors of the production area.
