Biblioteca : una definizione non-pretecnica

2010
This article deals with the processes of communication that involve directly or indirectly librarians and users. This study proposes an analysis of the radically semiotic relationship between resources, forms and tools of access to service rather than an analysis on "theory communication technology" applied to library service. Starting from a non-pretecnical definition of library, the search focuses on: 1) librarianship as a science; 2) the role that semiotic and linguistic processes often unwittingly play on organization, management, providing and evaluation of the service; 3) the criteria and forms for access to the service; and, 4) the necessity to find "conscious communication strategies" able to integrate organizational culture and communication culture.
