Transport distraction along the mandibular midline

Background Reconstruction of mandibular continuity defect is a challenging task. Transport distraction osteogenesis is a novel reconstructive modality that has been added to the armamentarium of maxillofacial reconstructive surgeons. The difficulties faced for the reconstruction of mandibular midline defects also remain problematic for this recent reconstructive modality.
