A fast InSAR processing system based on Digital Signal Processor

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) is a powerful technology that can obtain highly precise elevation using phase information from different SAR images at different times. Conventional InSAR processing system suffers from the problem of processing time efficiency based on Personal Computer (PC). In this paper, a fast InSAR processing system based on DSP using TI's new generation chip TMS320C6678 is conceived and accomplished. The entire system contains two partes: InSAR DSP process software part and dispaly control software part. In order to vervify the computational efficiency of the system, real SAR images, including Radarsat-2 and TDX-TSX data, have been processed by the system. Our exprimental reuslts show that the computational has increased greatly using the fast InSAR processing system based on DSP.
