Well completions and workovers. Part 21. Workover planning

1982
After defining the reason for a well's needing a workover, production engineers must evaluate the well environment to determine the best workover operation. A major job requires treatment outside the wellbore to either increase production in the same zone or change the status of the well. A routine job involves changes or repairs of the wellbore equipment. Although workovers vary with the actual operations, a step-by-step procedure for performing the job generally applies to all types - both major and routine.
