Conhecer para otimizar o fazer: sobre a representação social da psicologia no hospital

O presente artigo expoe o resultado de uma pesquisa qualitativa exploratoria, realizada no periodo de 2010 a 2013, pelo Servico de Psicologia no Hospital Ferreira Machado em Campos dos Goytacazes, R.J. Objetivou analisar a representacao social dos pacientes, acompanhantes e equipe multidisciplinar sobre a Psicologia no contexto hospitalar. Foi possivel identificar os fatores valorizados na atuacao do psicologo, estabelecer as situacoes em que a equipe (multidisciplinar) solicita o referido profissional, alem de observar a posicao que o psicologo ocupa na mesma equipe. Os dados foram colhidos com a utilizacao de entrevistas semi-estruturadas, gravadas e transcritas sob as normas de etica em pesquisa com seres humanos. O referencial teorico da teoria da representacao social e da psicanalise nos permitiu compreender o que esses sujeitos pensam sobre o psicologo no espaco hospitalar. O estudo foi relevante pelo fato de ter colaborado na compreensao e reconhecimento dos ajustes necessarios ao desenvolvimento do servico de psicologia, identificando acoes que possam atender melhor a demanda da assistencia hospitalar.  ABSTRACT The paper presents the results of an exploratory qualitative research conducted in the period 2010-2013, in the Psychology Service at the Hospital Ferreira Machado in Campos, RJ. It analyzes the social representation of patients, caregivers and a multidisciplinary team on Psychology in hospital context. It was possible to identify the valued factors establishing the circumstances in which the team (multidisciplinary) calls the professional said, besides observing the position that the psychologist takes on the same team. Data were collected using semi-structured, recorded and transcribed interviews under the rules of ethics in human research activities. The theoretical framework of theory of social representation and psychoanalysis allowed us to understand what these social agents think about the psychologist in the hospital realm. The study was relevant because it has collaborated for the understanding and recognition of the necessary development of the psychology service settings, identifying actions that can best meet the demand of hospital care.
