Preliminary geneticsstudy of five pedigrees with high incidence of affective disorder

：Objective To explore therelationship between polymorphism of COMT gene and Apo-E gene and 5-HT2a gene withaffective disorder. Search for a gene predisposing to affective disorder in the Hannationality of Chinese. Methods Five pedigrees with high incidence of affective disorderwere preliminary studied by polymerize chain reaction(PCR) and restriction fragment lengthpolymorphism(RFLP) technique. Results Analysis results of statistics of thetransmission/disequilibrium test (TDT) handing showed that the COMT gene is associationwith affective disorder (P 0.05) in the five pedigree with high incidence affectivedisorder.Conclusion Our study results suggest that maybe a affective disorder liabilitygene on 22chromosome (22q11.2) in our studied pedigrees.
