A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE STRATA OF YELLOW RIVER OVERFLOW IN THE LIANGWANGCHENG SITE IN NORTHERN JIANGSU

On the basis of the Yellow River overflow strata in the archaeological site in the lower Yellow River valley,samples from the natural silt layer on the south wall in unit T3902 in the Liangwangcheng site,heavy mineral and granularity analysis,archaeological dating,and historical data,we studied the properties of the lower Yellow River overflows strata in the Liangwangcheng site.Our study provides a foundation for the interpretation of overflows layers in the borderline of the flood area or provides constraints on the extension of the archaeological site along the lower Yellow River.
