Working in a teaching hospital can sound like a tall order. As well as regular nursing duties, nurses at the Beaumont Animals Hospital run wards, hold clinics, help to train budding student nurses and veterinary surgeons, and learn to use the newest equipment and techniques. Melanie Simmonds, Head Veterinary Nurse, also found time to develop her own training and career—here is her view of nursing at the Beaumont.
