The invention relates to a remote collaboration technology, in particular to a remote collaboration method of a product design model. By means of a virtual reality technology and a network communication technology, three-dimensional model operations are synchronized in different places through a message distribution mode. The method is characterized in that a remote communication calculating unitand a main communication calculating unit linked with each other by a public network are included, wherein remote product design models are collaborated by the public network. In the invention, a collaboration environment that can be mutually experienced by all participants is constructed by using integrated virtual reality simulation software, a three-dimensional CAD (Computer Aided Design) model is converted through a model conversion technology from a common format to a model format that can be supported by a system and message distribution is completed by a windows network communication, thus the remote collaboration method of the product design model of remote synchronization of the three-dimensional model operationsis realized.
