Difference of Development and Reproduction of Aphis gossypii Glover Winged and Wingless Morph

Development and reproduction of Aphis gossypii Glover of winged and wingless morph were evaluated by laboratory experiments.Development time,reproductive capacity,abult longevity,farrowing capacity and dry weight of Aphis gossypii Glover of winged and wingless morph were investigated.The results indicated that there were not significant differences in development time,longevity of adult,number of first time offspring,average offspring per time between winged and wingless morph.A significant difference was observed in times of offspring,net reproductive rate,intrinsic rate of natural increase between alate and apterous(P0.01).The energy being used in wing development and fly of winged moroh might be changed for reproduce in wingless morph.
