1. We synthesized and characterized the N-p-carboxyphenylimide of 3,4,4′-benzophenonetricarboxylic acid and its dichloride and dianilide. 2. Poly(amido imides), which have film-forming properties, can be obtained from the imido dichloride by low-temperature polycondensation in solution.
