Occurrence and pollution source of TVOC in underground stores in Chongqing

In order to know the occurrence and pollution source of TVOC(total volatile organic compounds) in underground stores in Chongqing,the portable VOCs gas detector(ppbRAE) was used to measure indoor TVOC concentration of 17 underground stores in Chongqing according to the Technical Rules of Health Monitoring for Public Places,and affecting factors of indoor VOCs in underground stores were analyzed.The research results indicate that pollution of VOCs in indoor air of underground stores in Chongqing is serious,and there are 9 underground stores with TVOC concentration exceeding the national standard in the 17 underground stores,and the exceeding rate reaches 52.9%.The VOCs pollutions are more serious in oversize underground stores than those in small underground stores.The exceeding rates of TVOC average concentration of seven oversize underground stores and ten small underground stores are 85.7% and 30%,respectively.The VOCs pollutions in indoor air of underground stores in Chongqing mainly come from decoration and merchandises sold,and VOCs in outdoor air have no effect on TVOC concentration in indoor air of underground stores.
