The invention discloses a hydrogen cracking method for increasing production of middle distillate oil. After being mixed, material oil and hydrogen gas contact with a hydrofining catalyst to react in a first hydrogenation reaction area; reaction effluent enters a second hydrogenation reaction area and a third hydrogenation reaction area in sequence to respectively contact with a hydrogen-cracking catalyst I and a hydrogen-cracking catalyst II for reaction; obtained reaction effluent of the third hydrogenation reaction area is separated and fractioned to obtain a hydrogen-rich gas, naphtha distillate, middle distillate oil and tail oil distillate. The method disclosed by the invention can treat heavy distillate oil, can sufficiently bring characteristics of cracking catalysts of different molecular sieve types into play and can improve utilization rate of the catalyst, so that the middle distillate oil is produced to the greatest extent.
