Epoxy resin having acrylic group or methacrylic group

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject resin having excellent durability, elasticity and resistance against yellowing, useful for paints, compression molding materials or the like, by reacting a specific compound with (meth)acrylic acid or the like. CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula [(n) is 0 to 10] is allowed, if suitable, together with other monocarboxylic acids such as acetic acid or the like, to react with a (meth)acrylic acid, thereby obtaining the objective epoxy resin.
