Effect of Phosphlnothricin (Glufosinate) on Photosynthesis and Chlorophyll Fluorescence Emission by Barley Leaves Illuminated Under Photorespiratory and Non-Photorespiratory Conditions
1992
The aim of this work was to concentrate on the effect of the inhibitor on CO2 assimilation and other aspects of photosynthesis. The changes in quantum requirement and in the characteristics of chlorophyll fluorescence emission brought about by feeding phosphinothricin to primary leaves were reported. The methods employed provide indirect information on the redox state of the photosynthetic electron transport and on chloroplast energization
