Photocrosslinkable composition based on trifluoro-ethyl methacrylate and preparation thereof

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide photocrosslinkable compositions based on trifluoroethyl methacrylate which give hydrophobic transparent coatings and a method for preparation thereof. SOLUTION: Photocrosslinkable compositions comprise (a) 30-90 pts.wt. of an oligomer having a polymerization degree of 5-16 comprising 75-95 wt.% of trifluoroethyl methacrylate unit and 5-25 wt.% of thiols or thiols units represented as formula R-SH (wherein R is a 8-20C alkyl straight chain or a 8-20C alkylene perfluoroalkyl having 1-4C alkylene part), and (b) 10-70 pts.wt. of a diluent.
