Toward a naive theory of trafficability

1989
The author describes the development of a naive theory of trafficability in the predictive calculus for vehicles and military units owning them. Concepts covered include terrain features on the surface of the earth, continuous elevations, trafficability of vehicles and units on surfaces, and being able to reach one place from another. An example showing how the theory disambiguates a moving target report on the basis of the trafficability alone is included. >
