A comparative study on estimating methods of discrimination ability of Yunnan maize regional trial sites for the best genotypes.

Three methods of estimating discrimination of Yunnan maize regional trial sites for the best genotypes, i.e., the method of variation coefficient,regression coefficient and the D_j parameter of AMMI model,were compared in detail. The results showed that regression coefficient was not efficient, the conclusions of another two methods were almost the same in general.But the method of AMMI model was comparatively precise.
