Therapy system stimulation by pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) with biphasic coil.

1999
A transducer pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) (10, 12, 20) to a stimulation apparatus tissue (18), comprising: at least one transducer coil (36) for generating a signal PEMF stimulation in response to signals bidirectional excitation, an excitation circuit (28, 90) to provide the excitation signals, a circuit energy recovery (100) for recovering flyback energy from the at least one transducer coil (36) and to provide the recovery voltage energy recovery circuit energy a capacitive circuit (100) having a ratio of predetermined capacity and a control circuit (60) for switching between the first drive signal and second drive signal, characterized in comprising that the circuit excitation (28, 90), the energy recovery circuit (100) and the control circuit (60) are coupled adjacent to the at least one coil trans ductora (36), such that the transducer (10, 12, 20) is a single integrated unit, and in that the drive circuit is arranged to provide signals bidirectional excitation without the use of a secondary coil, namely a first excitation signal to the at least one transducer coil (36) in a first direction and a second drive signal to the at least one transducer coil (36) in a second direction, the first drive signal being at a supply voltage and the second excitation signal being voltage energy recovery, with the recovery voltage higher than supply voltage energy to discharge the transducer coil in the second direction, wherein the ratio of predetermined capacity of the capacitor circuit provides the voltage Energy Recovery.
