Isolation and Identification of Lactobacillus from Swine and Optimization of Culture Conditions

Probiotics is the key to developing green pig industry.Lactobacillus is one of the most important beneficial bacterium components in the current application probiotics.One Lactobacillus strain which had strong acid and bile salts resistance was isolated,and it was identified and named Lactobacillus strain L5.The fermentation conditions in liquid culture were studied by single factor test and orthogonal test.Under optimal conditions,the living bacteria concentration reached 8.25×108 cfu/mL in the fermentation liquid.
