This is part of a series of activities and exercises used to critically examine executive decision making. In this case for instance the presumption about explicit and well-understood problems may be challenged in executive education programs to highlight the impact of complexity emerging in problems and how this affects problem-solving or business-as-unusual versus assumed complicated business-as-usual approach or the application of the so-called 'engineering' approach to problems.
