The results of research of tick population in Mongolia are present in this paper. The study was conducted during 1998-2005 years and covered the territory of 14 aimags in Northern, Northeastern and Central parts of the country. More than 4 000 of adult guesting ticks had been analysed. About 90 % of the ticks were identified as Ixodes persulcatus Sch. The abundance and prevalence of this species are vary achieving the maximum in Northern aimags. The Dermacentor nuttalli ticks are spreaded over all region of research in steppe and forest-steppe ecosystems. The D. silvarum and H. concinna ticks were discovered as rare inhabitants of forest and forest-steppe biocenoses along with I. persulcatus and D. nuttalli.
