Studies on the chemical constituents from pine needles of Cedrus deodara (II)

2010
Objective:To study the chemical constituents from pine needles of Cedrus deodara. Methods:Chemical constituents were isolated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated through spectroscopic analysis. Results:The compounds were identified as 9-hydroxy-dodecanoic acid(Ⅰ), ethyl laurate(Ⅱ), ethyl stearate(Ⅲ),3β-hydroxy-oleanolic acid methyl ester(Ⅳ), β-sitosterol(Ⅴ), shikimic acid(Ⅵ),methylconiferin(Ⅶ), ferulic acid β-glucoside(Ⅷ). Conclusion:CompoundsⅠ~Ⅳ,Ⅵ~Ⅷ are isolated and identified from this genus for the first time, compoundⅤis isolated from pine needles of this genus for the first time.
