Application of AngioJet thrombectomy device in acute filter related inferior vena cava thrombosis
2019
Objective
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of AngioJet thrombectomy device in the treatment of acute filter-related inferior vena cava thrombosis (IVCT).
Methods
The clinical data and efficacy of 9 cases of acute filter-related IVCT treated by AngioJet thrombectomy in Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from January 2017 to october 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.
Results
The technical success rate of 9 patients was 100%. Thrombosis was completely cleared in 6 patients, 3 patients were still with partial thrombosis. After catheter contact thrombolysis(CDT) is added into treatment, 2 patients achieved complete elimination, and 1 patient still had some thrombus in the filter. The filter removal rate of the first phase was 66.7%, and the cumulative removal rate was 88.9%, the thrombus aspiration time was (162.4±34.8)s, and the thrombolysis time was (3.8±2.1)d. The symptoms of the patients were relieved after operation. Hemoglobinuria occurred in 6 cases, and then disappeared after treatment. No renal dysfunction occurred.
Conclusions
AngioJet thrombectomy device can effectively remove the thrombus around the filter, with definite curative effect and high safety. Combined with CDT, Angiotet thrombectomy device can further improve the efficiency of thrombus removal and increase the chance of filter removal.
