Laser drive circuit with temperature compensation, and laser drive method

A laser drive circuit with temperature compensation and a laser drive method are disclosed. The laser drive circuit with temperature compensation is used for driving a laser element. The laser drive circuit comprises a temperature compensation circuit which generates a second current according to a first current a temperature-independent current; and a modulation current generation circuit which generates a modulation current according to the second current and adjusts the light output power of the laser element according to the modulation current. The first current is in direct proportion to the absolute temperature. The changing rate of the second current with respect to the absolute temperature is greater than that of the first current with respect to the absolute temperature.
