Syncope in Young Patients II: Presentation and Management of Specific Causes of Syncope

1presented an approach to the evaluation of a patient with syncope. Case presentations will occasionally be used in this part of the series to illustrate certain clinical points. Particular attention will be paid to the varied manifestations and causes of cardiac syncope (Table 1), which generally denotes a poor prognosis and thus necessitates early recognition and aggressive treatment.
