Psychological Characteristics of Equestrian Riders: Paradox between Objectivity Measurement and Expert Evaluation

The paper attempted to examine the consistency between objectivity measurement and expert evaluation on the psychological characteristics.With the psychological questionnaire,testing software and expert evaluation,this study measured and evaluated 16 Chinese dressage riders on the psychological characteristics,including speed perception,attention ability,state-anxiety and trait-anxiety,intellective level,neurotype,and personality characters.Correlation analysis showed that objectivity measurement and expert evaluation on intellective level reached significant level.Regression analysis found attention ability under expert evaluation;attention stability and perception level under objectivity measurement could predict performance of the riders.
