Emergency stop device for elevator installation

PURPOSE: To put an emergency stop device in action without installing a speed governor in a machine room by putting this emergency stop device for elevator installation work in action at the speed specific times higher than the action speed of a motor-driven winch. CONSTITUTION: A speed governor 15A is fixed to the work floor 182 of a car frame 18, and this speed governor 15A is connected to the lifting rod 193 of an emergency stop device 19. The speed governor 15A is pierced with an emergency stop rope 22 provided across the whole length of an elevator shaft so as to put the emergency stop device 19 in action by the speed governor 15A when the fall speed of the car frame 18 becomes 1.4 times higher than the rated speed of a motor-driven winch.
