Animal Welfare in Farm Animal Production

The productivity of farm animal industries has been increasing through many years most recently by the introduction of the intensive systems. The question of animal welfare in these systems has been raised and it is felt that the basis for the ensurance of conditions for animal welfare is inadequate. Steps are being taken for the introduction of rules and regulations for intensive husbandry systems at national levels and international levels as well.
